Megoe Chen

Megoe Chen was born in 1999 in Taoyuan city, Taiwan and began studying piano at age five.

In 2014 Megoe won 2nd Prize in the Seidof and Sons Piano Competition and won 2nd Prize at the Yao Hwa Yuan Piano Competition.

She completed her Bachelor of Music Honours degree at University of Canterbury School of Music in 2022, majoring in piano performance under Tim Emerson and Mark Menzies and will have completed her 2023 Masters of Music before her appearance in the November 25th join concert in Melbourne.

Megoe teaches piano and accompanies Christchurch’s St Marks’ Church Choir and volunteers at Starjam helping people with disabilities improve their mental and physical well being through music.
