On February 4th – Feb 10th I was in Sydney producing my 2nd album ‘Rare View’, which was recorded by Craig Field in his Underwood Studios in the Blue Mountains.
Rare View consists of 7 new piano pieces performed by pianist Nicholas, which I composed in Melbourne, as well as some of my chamber work of duets and trios.
Sydney string players George Yang who got his Masters for Cello at Sydney Conservatorium and violinist Dominik Przywara who trained at The Music Academy of Krakow, Poland appear in the chamber works.
On Saturday September 22nd at 1pm, Beleura House will host the World Premiere of Rare View as part of its subscription series in their Tallis Pavilion. Beleura will sell tickets to this event closer to the date. Nicholas will play the largest concert piano the Australian Stuart & Sons piano company will have manufactured. Its range will exceed their 102-key & 4-pedal flagship piano. The repertoire for the concert will be re-arranged to take in to consideration the extra breadth of the colossal piano.
During Intermission Beleura House will serve their re-known afternoon tea (more like a High Tea), which is included in the price of a ticket.
‘Rare View’ will have a limited release on vinyl and a mass release for the Hi-Rez market.
With 2 albums now under my belt, I aim to produce full concert recitals with plenty of variety, plus add new works as I go along.
