Composed in 1990, A Touch of Tango, incorporates a syncopated 4-bar rhythm which re-occurs throughout the first section. Introspective in style, the second section emerges. A motif is introduced, which evolves in its own right as a transition back to a variation of the start. At the end of this quick section a coda emerges to complete the piece in a somber finish.
