Release of the Rare View Concert Album
Rare View’s 22nd September 2018 World Premiere was proudly sponsored, filmed and recorded by SONY.
This concert recording is Alan’s 3rd album and was recorded by Craig Field with SONY’s C100s in front of a live audience. This is also the world’s first live album recorded with the C100s.
The ‘SONY Stories’ video below, filmed by acclaimed Japanese film director Kenshin Nawa explains why SONY was involved in this concert. This video received wide coverage at the 2019 CES in Las Vegas.
This concert was hosted by Beleura House in their Tallis Pavilion as part of their subscription series.
Performed by the same musicians who appear in the studio recorded Rare View album; internationally acclaimed concert pianist Nicholas Young; Polish concert violinist Dominik Przywara and Australian concert cellist George Yang.
Present at the concert were dignitaries including Kazuyoshi Matsunaga, Consul-General of Japan in Melbourne and his wife, representatives from SONY Japan and David Green and his wife from SONY Australia, Julia Stone and her partner, members of the Stuart and Tallis family.
This was Alan’s third premiere in a row on a rare Stuart piano.
Alan will be producing further Rare View concerts in 2019.
